You will speak to one of our directors, who can quickly pick up the outline of what you do and what you need.
We will help you assess objectively the strengths and weaknesses of the venture you have in mind.  If we can't help, we will tell you so very quickly and endeavour to suggest an alternative route.
If you want to buy a competitor, need to find the right strategic partner or simply wish to maximize the value of your business on exit we can work with you to achieve your objectives and ensure all aspects are considered.
Where development capital is needed for the primary or secondary growth phases we can help prepare you for the venture capital or business angel community; once prepared introduce the right investors; and ensure that the finance and structure are optimal.
Once we have established what is required we would set out clearly for you how we could help and how much it would cost and the likely timescale to completion.
Due Diligence
Once we have agreement in principle, we would go onto the due diligence and preparatory stage. Due diligence double-checks all your (and our) assumptions to date.
This enables us to assess your business's operational, managerial, legal and financial position and ensure that all are sufficiently robust and properly presented.
We also use our expertise in reviewing businesses to look at the broader commercial issues.
Due diligence and preparatory work on a company turning over c. £10m would normally take about six weeks to complete.
Note: Though it is often quicker it is sometimes materially longer, particularly if there is a complicated structure.
Optimising the Outcome
We work with you to achieve the best structure for financing your business, or alternative strategies.
This involves looking at your strategy (both the company strategy and the personal strategies of the people behind the business) and your structure.
We may need to help with tax aspects or management issues, using our experience to help you make a quantum leap towards what you wish to achieve.
